Where have all the men gone?

September 2017

Always a pleasure to visit Dublin... today I met with Russell Bedford member firm, Cooney Carey.  As I continue to travel to visit our member firms, it was fantastic to be welcomed to present to the partners and management team, as well as speaking separately to the open plan floor of accounting staff who were in the office today.  It's important that the people who spend the most time with the clients understand and appreciate their firm's international presence and connectivity, as well as the entire management team.

I was additionally delighted to see so many females in the office, at all levels of the practice, having read a number of recent articles on the role of women in the profession and indeed in business, and in particular in leadership positions within a business.

This is one of the many topics featuring at the Russell Bedford global meeting in Rome in October this year, where registrations of attendance have already achieved record numbers and continue to grow (...with hopefully a good number of female representation!)

Managing partner, Tony Carey commented "You were, and are always, very welcome Stephen. The men are present for sure - we are delighted to have a multi-gender, multi-national, "multi-age", multi-beliefs, multi-orientated team that reflects the equality of the fantastic talent available. Our diversity is one of our strengths and gives us the ability to view our clients issues from every angle in order to find the best solutions."
