VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) proposal

28 September 2023

Online: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM BST

The European Commission acknowledges that, despite numerous reform efforts, the existing VAT system has struggled to adapt to the demands of the modern global economy, characterised by digitalisation and mobility. As a result, on 8 December 2022, the European Commission proposed a series of measures to modernise and make the EU’s VAT system work better for businesses and more resilient to fraud by embracing and promoting digitalisation. Such proposal aims to address challenges in the area of VAT raised by the development of the platform economy.

As the world of taxation continues to evolve, it is essential for professional like us to stay updated and well-informed about the latest trends, regulations and updates in the field of VAT.

This comprehensive session, led by Brandon Gatt a VAT Leader at Russell Bedford's Malta firm, Zampa Debattista, will provide you with an overview of the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) proposal, presented by the EU Commission.
