Russell Bedford appoints new firms in Brazil and Peru

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Grupo Maciel in Brazil and Luis Acosta Peche & Asociados in Peru.

Founded in Porto Alegre in 2010, Grupo Maciel has six offices across Brazil. The principal offices of the eight-partner group, with around 80 professional staff, are located in Porto Alegre, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, with an additional presence in Curitiba and Belo Horizonte.

Grupo Maciel is a multi-discipline service provider that specialises in auditing, management consulting, and IT consulting. The practice has a client base of around 200 clients, which comprises large national organisations with multiple locations, medium and small organisations, including public and private companies, financial institutions, energy companies, pension funds, insurers, foundations, cooperatives and international organisations.

Luis Acosta Peche & Asociados was founded in 2011 in Lima, Peru. The group comprises two entities – an audit practice (Luis Acosta Peche & Asociados S.C. de R.L) and a consulting practice (LA Corporation S.A.C.).

The principal two partners are supported by a director and a total of 45 personnel, and the audit practice is registered with the Padrón de Auditores Independientes del Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Lima and with the Registro de Sociedades de Auditoría Externa (RESAE) de la Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP.

With a strong focus on auditing, the group provides financial audits, tax audits and business consultancy as well as outsourced back-office accounting services to more than 150 clients, both domestic and international, in various business sectors, including financial services.
