Russell Bedford expands in Netherlands with Apeldoorn firm
January 2016
International professional services group Russell Bedford has confirmed the further expansion of its Dutch network, with the addition of Boon Accountants & Belastingadviseurs headquartered in Apeldoorn (in the North East), joining alongside the recently merged existing member, Stolp + Kab (with offices in the West).
Boon Accountants has three partners - Ren Boon, Jan van der Put and Ren Rotscheid - and a total of 65 personnel. It is the largest accounting firm in Apeldoorn and is ranked in the top-50 audit practices and the top-100 accounting firms in the Netherlands.
Tracing its history back to 1922, the current firm is the result of a merger in 2007 with a local Big 4 practice and another local accounting firm. The firm was later restructured into two entities - Boon Registeraccountants (an audit practice) and Boon Accountants Belastingadviseurs (an accounting, tax and consulting practice).
Boon Accountants specialises in the areas of audit, accountancy, tax, payroll services and M&A. The firm's clients are predominantly medium-sized family-owned businesses operating in a range of sectors such as wholesale, retail, distribution, transport, logistics, manufacturing and IT. The client base also includes professional services firms and private individuals.
Managing partner Ren Boon commented: "As a member of the Russell Bedford network, Boon will be able to provide cost efficient and seamless audit services for its clients all over the globe. Additionally, we look forward to interaction with fellow members, to share and enhance technical knowledge and expertise."
