Russell Bedford International has announced the appointment of Ashwin Brothers as the global professional services network’s new member firm in Nairobi, Kenya.
Established 1967, and based in the Westlands suburb of Nairobi, Ashwin Brothers is one of the leading non Big-4 firms in Kenya.
With five partners and some 60 personnel, the firm offers a full range of services via a group structure: Ashwin Brothers offers statutory, internal and forensic audits; Alexander McDonald & Scott deals with tax and business consulting services; and Alexander Consultants Ltd is the accounting services arm of the group.
The firm’s clients are mainly SMEs in the manufacturing, construction, trading and agriculture sectors, together with charities and NGOs.
Speaking about the appointment, Russell Bedford CEO Stephen Hamlet said: “Having met with the team at their offices in Nairobi in February, I can vouch for the high-calibre of this very successful well-established Kenyan firm that continues to expand. Ashwin Brothers has a clear vision for the direction it wishes to take and I have no doubt that they will achieve all of their ambitious goals with the help and support of the Russell Bedford network. A huge welcome to all in this key location for our network in Africa.”
Partner at Ashwin Brothers, Reena Nagda, added: “We are delighted to have been accepted into the Russell Bedford network. Having already established ourselves as one of the leading firms in Kenya, membership of a global network was an important step in moving our firm to the next level. We are looking forward with enthusiasm to begin working with our global partners at Russell Bedford and ensuring that our clients receive a truly global service.”
